- Sign your agreement at the bottom of the document
- Receive a copy of your agreement to your email address
Step 2 - Pay deposit & register payment details
- Complete the form provided.
- Be sure that you have familiarised yourself with the Hosting Package options
- When you click ‘submit’ you will be redirected to make an instant non-refundable deposit payment safely and securely through ‘Go Cardless’ of £120 (inc. VAT)
- Future hosting payments or payment plans will be taken automatically from the account details you provide, by direct debit, on a date agreed between you and Bear Left Studio Ltd.

- If you need to purchase a domain name follow the instruction video.
- Email ted@bearleftstudio.com providing details of your website domain and your choice of email.
Website Legal Requirements
As the website owner, you are legally responsible for ensuring your site complies with UK law. We will set up the foundational elements, but you must verify and maintain their accuracy.
Required Business Information – If your website represents a registered business (like a Limited Company or LLP), you must display the following information on your site:
- Registered business name and number.
- Registered office address.
- Place of registration (e.g., England & Wales).
- Contact details, including an email and a non-electronic method of contact (e.g., a postal address).
- If you sell online, your geographical business address.
- Your VAT number, if registered.
Privacy & Data Protection (GDPR) & ICO Registration
We will install a basic privacy policy template that explains how your site handles user data. You are responsible for reviewing this policy and ensuring it accurately reflects your specific data collection and usage practices. If updates are needed, you can edit it yourself or contact us for assistance.
ICO Registration:
If your website collects any personal data (e.g., through contact forms, orders, or cookies), you likely need to register with the ICO and pay a data protection fee. It is your responsibility to check this using the ICO’s self-assessment tool and to register if required.
Cookie Policy
We will install a cookie policy that complies with ICO guidelines. By default, this will include your hometown and country for contact purposes. If you prefer to display only your country or your full business address, please let us know.
For E-Commerce Websites
If you sell online, you have additional legal obligations. You must clearly display your terms of sale, including:
- Delivery costs and timescales.
- Returns, refunds, and cancellation policy.
- Complaint handling procedure.
- Pricing, including all taxes.
- Customers’ rights to cancel and return goods.
